Shoe Transformation: Decisions

This is how I made my decision on how to choose what earrings I wanted for what shoe.

I used straight pins to tack the earrings in place and then observed the look.

I originally bought the black bracelts to go with the black shoes, but after removing the elastic, I really didn't like the look.

I really like the look of the Mesh earrings on the back and front of the shoes but I think I would rather attach some rhinestones with my hot setter rather than try to attach these type of earrings to the heel.

Saw a Great pair of shoes done that way in Hawaii with the rhinestones set along the back of the shoe heel.

The red shoes i prefer the heart earrings which is what I originally purchased for these shoes.

I did worry about choosing a different color than silver if I ever chose to wear gold jewelry but I tend to have only 10% of my jewelry is gold, ok 5%!

I was recently at Melrose and bought 2 pairs of shoes off the clearance shelves at $9 each. I didn't like the ruffly-satin like decoration down the front so I removed it all.
Unfortunately, what looked to be just sewn on decoration, turned out to be also glued down.
So, I was left with some damage to the front strap.
Not to be undeterred, I set forth to search for a pair of earrings or jewelry that I could use to decorate the shoes.
I had narrowed it down to a 2 pairs of earrings and 2 bracelets.
The Heart earrings & Black rhinestone bracelets i purchase from Melrose and the Rhinestone mesh earrings I purchased for $6.50 from the Charlotte Russo Outlet store.
Necessary items to finish project: Clear thread which I purchased from Hobby Lobby and a needle, preferably a curved upholstery needle, thimble which I like to use a leather one. Thimbles like this are available at most craft stores and places like walmart.

Finally, I use 2 clear tack to mount it onto my wall and immediately fill it.

I would think that most people would want to cover or paint it to make it prettier.

My suggestion: Glitter and glow in the dark paint make everything better!

I then took another of my clay tools, and used this wood tool as a "bone" folder to press an indention along the remaining uncut length of my drawn area.

As you can see, I have cut open along the punched lines I just did to create my opening and to dump any left over creamer out of the container.

Using a needle tool from my Clay tool set, I punch really closely along the drawn lines along the 2 width sides and only one length since I will need the other length side to be the fold.

I drew lines were I wanted to make my opening with a red marker and then I proceeded to punch a hole at each corner with a punch tool. I happened to use Matco Tools SP158A.

So, here I am with a lot of empty containers from work that formally held non-dairy creamer. I have been cutting of the tops so that they hold paint brushes, pencils, pens, markers, ect....
But I decide to see if I could make something else.
So. I made them in to item holders by cutting into the cardboard on the side.

Recycling SHipping Labels

Where I work we get shipments that have labels on the invoices and the paper on top is thermal paper.
I use the sticker to label boxes cover up images or I print images on them for kids to color ect.....
I then use the left over piece that I remove the label from , I use about 10-15 of them and staple them to a piece of cardboard.
Now I have a disposable paint pallet.

Indian Beadwork

Over time, I have realized that I do better at repairing peoples jewelry more so than selling jewelry I made. I have a knack for repairing Indian Beadwork.
I noticed Allen had a piece of South American Beadwork Neckalace on and that it was about to come apart if a section of it was not repaired.
So I repaired it and in exchange he brought me 3 other pieces from a friend of his for me to repair.

The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, Sweeney Todd

Sat., Nov 1st, 2008, one of my bosses called me into his office. He asked me if Brian & I would like to go to see "The Demon Barber of Fleet Street".
Now, All I heard was "Free tickets for a show tonight".
As, everyone knows, I am a cheapskate so of course I said "Yes".
So off we go after work to see it.
Warning! It is a dark Comedy, a Musical, and not for children.
Brian and I enjoyed it very much.

So, based on the live performance, we are going to rent the movie with Johnny Depp.
